As you arrive at Katakolon port, a Geo Travel representative will welcome you and then you will embark on a private AC vehicle to Olympia.
Olympia is one of the most important sanctuaries in Greece and the place where the first Olympic Games took place. You will visit the archaeological site first and walk through the remains of Ancient temples, the Hippodrome, the Gymnasium and the Stadium. Then, you will walk a few meters towards the museum of Olympia which hosts among many relics and everyday objects and also the impressive statues of Hermes of Praxiteles and Nike Paionios.
Thereafter, you will continue your tour to Pirgos city, the modern town and capital of Ilia region. There you will walk through shops, cafes and neoclassical buildings. You will visit the municipal market and Apollo theatre and then walk through the old agora and visit the small archaeological museum or take a coffee.
You will return at the port full of beautiful memories and continue your cruise.
